What you'll need:
  • 1 bag SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®
  • 1 bag M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
  • 1 box (18.25-oz.) chocolate cake mix
  • 2 cans (16-oz.) whipped vanilla frosting
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 9 x 12-inch cake pan
  • Spatula
  • Resealable plastic bag
  • Fork
What to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the cake pan by first lining bottom with parchment paper, then grease and flour.
  2. Roughly chop 2 cups of SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®. Prepare cake mix according to package instructions and fold in the chopped SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®. Transfer batter to prepared cake pan and bake for approximately 32-35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from the oven, transfer to wire rack and let cool for 10 minutes. Invert cake, remove pan and cool completely.
  3. Remove parchment paper from cake bottom. Place the serving platter on the cake. Flip both the cake and platter over. Mark the center of the cake with a line drawn from the top to the bottom. Using a serrated knife, cut a "V" along that line approximately 1-inch deep and 1-inch wide. Now the cake will resemble an open book. Use photo as your guide.
To decorate the cake: Tint 1/2 cup of vanilla frosting, blue. Transfer it into a resealable plastic bag and snip off a small corner. Cover cake with remaining vanilla frosting. Dip the tines of a fork into cocoa powder and press them horizontally along the sides of the cake for a page effect. Decorate the book with M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies and write your message with the blue frosting.

Tip: If your cake if freshly baked, after cutting the wedge, cover it completely with a thin layer of frosting and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then frost it again. This will help eliminate the crumbs.
