- 1 bag M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
- 1 18.25-oz. devil’s food cake mix
- 1 16-oz. can dark chocolate fudge frosting
- 1 16-oz. can vanilla frosting
- Black food coloring or black decorating frosting
- Red, yellow, green, blue and orange food coloring
- 1 10-inch round cake pan
- 7 resealable plastic bags
- Edible glitter
What to do:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour cake pan.
- Roughly chop 2 cups of SNICKERS® Brand MINIS®. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions, fold in the chopped SNICKERS® Brand MINIS® and pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven, transfer to a wire rack and cool for 15 minutes. Invert, remove from the pan and let cool completely.
- To decorate: tint 1/2 cup of the dark chocolate fudge frosting black, spoon into a resealable plastic bag with a small corner snipped and set aside. Use the remaining to frost the cake. Pipe black frosting in circular lines starting at the edge of the cake and continuing towards the center. Sprinkle the top of the cake with the edible glitter.
- Spoon 1/2 cup of the vanilla frosting into a resealable plastic bag and pipe a circle in the center of the cake, filling it in completely. Place one brown M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies in the center. Divide the remaining vanilla frosting into 5 small cups and tint one red, one orange, one blue, one green and one yellow. Spoon each color into a separate resealable plastic bag with a small corner snipped. Decorate the side of the cake by placing a different color M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies and then piping a tail to look like a musical note.
Tip: If your children are too young to recognize albums, turn your cake into a CD by baking it in an 8”x8” cake pan instead of a round cake pan. Decorate it using the CD cover as your guide.
