What to do:
- Take Note Cookies:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Knead the cookie dough with the flour until smooth. Roll dough out to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Using a musical note cookie cutter or pattern, press out 2-1/2-inch musical notes, and transfer them to a non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden. Cool completely.
- Divide the frosting into 6 small bowls, and tint to the desired colors. Spread a thin layer of frosting over the cookies.
- Jitterbug Chairs Game:
- Set the chairs in a large circle.
- Bring the children into the center of the circle. Start the music, and have the kids shake, rattle and dance! Suddenly stop the music. The kids scatter to find a chair. One child will be left standing. He or she has to leave the circle. The game continues until there is only one child and one chair.
- Give each child a cookie for a prize!
IDEA: Invite the children to come to the table and decorate their favorite notes with frosting and M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies. After all the notes have been decorated, ask them to put some notes together and make up a tune!
