Friendly Fish Cake
Greet this friendly fish with a tasty bite from his tail!

What you'll need:
  • 1 bag M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies
  • 2 lollipops
  • 1 bag chocolate malted milk balls
  • 1 18.25-oz. box classic yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 3.4-oz. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 16-oz. cans vanilla frosting
  • Yellow food coloring
  • 1 large marshmallow(s)
  • 1 9 x 13-inch pan(s)
  • Wax paper
  • Printable template (body)
  • Printable template (fin and tail)
What to do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the pan with wax paper, grease and flour.
  2. Prepare the cake batter by mixing the cake mix with eggs, water, oil and pudding; blend well. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
  3. Cut a fish shape out of cake using the printable template. Gather the cake scraps and arrange them around the cake for fins.
  4. Tint the vanilla frosting yellow and spread it over the cake, completely covering it.
  5. With the photo as a guide, decorate the fish as follows:
    • With a fork, create fin textures at the tail and the fins.
    • Outline a face by creating an arc with M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies beginning 3-1/2 inches from the fish’s head. Cover the remaining cake and the tail with M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for "scales".
    • Cut a marshmallow in half crosswise, and press it on the chocolate malted milk balls for eyes. Place in an area set aside for the face.
    • Press 2 lollipops into the side as lips.
